FACILITY

Eyecare Professionals was founded in 1933 and was originally named "Livingston Optical." At the time, the practice was located at 105 N. Main, but in 1969 a fire destroyed the building. The practice then moved in 115 W. Callendar. In 1991, the practice was incorporated and the name changed to "Livingston Eye Clinic and Optical." In 1994, the practice moved for its final time to 305 W. Park Street. In 1997 the practice officially became "Eyecare Professionals and Mountain Eyewear".

In 2010, the remodel and addition was complete. This new office area expanded our reception area and front desk area. It also gave our office 2 new pre-testing rooms, a special testing room, and an additional exam room. We invite you to come and see the Eyecare Professionals office space!

Equipment

We have state-of-the-art medical equipment to ensure you are getting the best possible care. Equipment we utilize includes the Optomap, Humphrey Visual Field machine and the Zeiss Stratus OCT.

Optomap

Your doctor recommends optomap as an integral part of your eye exam. The optomap provides your Doctor with a view of approximately 82% of your retina in a single capture and helps your doctor determine if diabetes is affecting your visual health.

An optomap provides:

  • Confirmation of a healthy eye or may detect the presence of disease

  • An overview or map of the retina, giving your doctor a more detailed view than can be achieved by other traditional tools.

  • The opportunity for you to view and discuss the optomap images with your doctor at the time of your exam.

  • A permanent record for your medical file, enabling your doctor to make important comparisons if potential problems show themselves at a future examination.

Getting an optomap is fast, easy and comfortable.
